Tax Free Donations

Would you rather fund ANC Corruption or the campaign for Cape Independence? Deduct and donate up to 10% of your taxable income. Individuals and companies.

Funding the Campaign for Cape Independence

For many, the financial year ends on 28th February.

Section 18A of the Income Tax Act (Act 58 of 1962) allows natural persons, trusts, companies and closed corporations to deduct the amount of any donations they have made to approved public benefit organisations (PBO), up to the value of 10% of their taxable income.

The Cape Independence Advocacy Group (CIAG) is a trading name of the Cape Development Institute NPC (CDI). The CDI is an approved PBO.

Please consider making a donation to the CDI/CIAG before the tax years ends.

Donations will be used for political lobbying, research, polling, marketing, and political activism. Our immediate funding goal is to raise R100k to finance a march in support of a Western Cape referendum. The march will take place on Freedom Day (27 April) in Cape Town. Legislation for the referendum is currently before parliament, and the CIAG played a significant role in achieving that.
